Website in Progress

Welcome to my website! Throughout the years my website has changed content many times trying to find it’s place on the internet. Right now I am using it to help promote the dogs that I am fostering.

As time progresses, I hope to add on pages containing resources that I find useful for my career as a User Experience Engineer and, eventually, a portfolio of my work.

Welcome!

Welcome to my new [in progress] website! I am a graduate student at Virginia Tech where I am doing research on community noise. My background is in Computer Science from the wonderful Michigan Tech, located in God’s Country (aka Michigan’s Upper Peninsula). I have work experience with J2EE programming, website development and IT Support (user support and system administration). My favorite programming language is C++ and the most random one that I know is COBOL.

Hiking with Tacori

In my free time, which is very rare as a graduate student, I enjoy being outdoors; hiking, running, biking, swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boardingsnowboarding, skydiving, etc. I’m also a big fan of craft beer, and I am a homebrewer. Of course this means I spend plenty of time brewing beer on weekends, going to the Hokie Homebrew Club meetings, Vintage Celler tastings, and touring breweries (Most recently: Devil’s Backbone, Wild Wolf, Starr Hill, Blue Mountain).
